The 7174 rudder feedback unit measures and reports the rudder angle position data to auto-pilots, rudder angle indicators, and full follow-up control systems. It can also be equipped with switches that act as rudder travel limits. It is designed to be mechanically connected to the rudder stock via a linkage rod.
The 7174 is available with up to 4 potentiometers, 3 trim pots, and 4 micro switches, and is constructed of bronze and stainless steel for durability. 1kΩ potentiometers are standard but 5kΩ are available as an option.
