Kobelt Launches New Line of High Pressure Hydraulic Brakes

Modular piston design combines scalable increases in clamping force with premium power density

Kobelt announced today the launch of the 5073 High Pressure Hydraulic Brake, which is now available for sale through authorised Distributors. The new brake line greatly increases the power density of Kobelt’s caliper brakes through a modular piston-driven design that operates at pressures up to 2000 PSI for precise control.

The 5073 is the first product from Kobelt’s new line of brakes. The modular arrangement allows for a variable number of pistons to be installed based on specific torque requirements, with each piston providing a significant increase in clamping force without a corresponding increase to the overall installation envelope. The 5073 also incorporates several unique features, including a brake shoe design that enables easy pad replacement and a brake configuration that accommodates a wide range of disc thicknesses. Kobelt’s vertically integrated factory provides industry-leading production lead times for standard and customized products.
