Industrial Spring Applied Brakes

Kobelt spring applied brakes provide safety and support for holding, parking or emergency braking applications. For failsafe braking, oil pressure or air pressure is used to disengage the mechanical spring packs which provide the braking force. When oil or air pressure drops or is lost for any reason then the brake engages. Otherwise known as emergency brakes, spring applied brakes engage if power is lost.
